Laura E Owen is an experienced leader and corporate executive. She currently serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships and board member at Check-6 International.

Laura previously served as Interim CEO of Check-6 International, in Houston. As founder and CEO of PontSalus, the organization advised international Ministries of Health, supporting the transformation of healthcare by facilitating relationships with best-in-class leaders in US healthcare. Laura was Co-Founder, COO and President of ICOP Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICOP), a company that engineers and markets mobile video products for first responders, worldwide. As Kansas Secretary of Commerce (KDOC), she led international trade, industrial development, and travel and tourism. She was the (Midwest) Regional Branch Manager for Stephens Inc., the largest investment banking firm in the US, off Wall Street. In addition to many corporate and state boards and commissions, Laura served on the board of Heart to Heart International for ten years, delivering over $1 billion in medicine and medical supplies to areas of need. In 2007, Laura was selected for the coveted “Women Who Mean Business”, by the Kansas City Business Journal, and was honored among 2009 “Influential Women” by Kansas City Business magazine. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Check-6 International Inc., and Presidio Insurance Ltd. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Delaware Valley University. Laura and her husband, Dave, have five grown children.
