Country Manager, Australia
Mark joined Check-6 after a broad and varied career as a pilot and operational leader. He spent sixteen years as an officer in the Royal Australian Air Force, a time with many highlights including surviving a mid-air collision and ejection, active duty in East Timor, and commanding the air component of a multinational peace-keeping force in the Solomon Islands. After retiring from the RAAF as a Squadron Leader Mark spent eight years with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (including two years as senior base pilot) flying aero-medical rescue missions based from Bundaberg, Queensland. Prior to joining Check-6 Mark worked in Papua New Guinea flying logistics support for a major mining operation.
Throughout his 7500 flying hours and twenty-five years of leadership training and experience Mark has devoted himself to improving operational processes, and to knowing the people and relationships that make those processes work. His passion is for leadership and workplaces that succeed by understanding people and what matter most to them.
Mark lives in Bundaberg and considers himself the luckiest husband and dad in the world. He enjoys home-schooling, cycling, writing and occasional quiet walks and cups of tea with his wife.
