Scott “Hogy” Hogan joined Check-6 in June of 2017 after serving over 29 years in the United States Navy across a broad spectrum of operations. Hogy spent the majority of his career in carrier aviation as an EA-6B Prowler Naval Flight Officer (NFO). He made multiple aircraft carrier deployments on USS AMERICA, USS NIMTIZ and USS EISENHOWER where he served in combat deployments over Iraq (Operations Desert Storm and Southern Watch) and over Serbia (Operation Allied Force), operating out of Aviano Air Base, Italy.
He has demonstrated superior leadership and built teams that were highly successful operating in dynamic, high-reliability operations. As an EA-6B fleet replacement flight instructor, he was selected as the EA-6B training & standardization program manager. He commanded a carrier-based EA-6B squadron and commanded the U.S. Navy base on Crete, Greece, overseeing all base logistics, airfield and port operations supporting NATO combat missions into Libya. He served as the Chief of Staff, for Commander Navy Region Northwest, overseeing facilities management and shore-based operations for U.S. Navy bases in the Puget Sound and Navy facilities across 11 states.
His decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, two Legion of Merit medals, two Meritorious Service Medals and multiple Individual and Strike Flight Air Medals. Hogy and his wife live in Vermont.
